Welcome to our site. We meet every Sunday morning around 11:00 (usually begin by 11:15). Our address is 651 Laurel St., Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Climb the stairs and come inside.

Don’t worry about what to wear, just wear something. Tattoos and piercings are common place.

Services are over by 12:15 p.m. every Sunday.

We preach Jesus. Love Sinners. Don’t think too highly of ourselves.

NEWS

Current Sermon Series: “God in the Shadows” messages through the book of Esther.

Sundays, 10 a.m.: Haven Socratic Group. The Greek philosopher Socrates urged his students "to follow the argument wherever it led them." If Christianity is a faith worth having, we should not be fearful of any topic, no matter how problematic it may seem for Christians. We are the new discussion group at Haven. This group will serve as "an open forum for the discussion of the intellectual difficulties connected with religion and with Christianity in particular." See our page on the website for audio and text. Also find us on facebook as Haven Socratic Group and get involved with the discussions.

Tuesdays, 7 a.m.: Early Mornings. Each Tuesday at 7 a.m. we gather for coffee, scripture and prayer. This is not a Bible Study! Its an opportunity for community and coffee before work. There is no set group, come if you can.

Thursdays, 7 p.m.: Supper and Prayer. We will meet at Troy and Maria Mercer’s (13433 Anne Cleves Ave, Baton Rouge, 70816) at 7 p.m. for supper. Food is provided. We will pray for each other and read some scripture followed by open discussion. (watch for facebook updates each week as this may be canceled from time to time)

2nd Sunday Bike Rides: Every second Sunday of Every month some bring their bikes to worship and go riding after. Just an opportunity to enjoy ourselves and get some exercise. Bring a lunch because you never know where we may stop for a picnic. If you are interested bring your bike.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, March 5 Spanish Town Parade. We will be at haven for the parade. Cooking on the porch. Catching beads. General tom-foolery. Come enjoy the day with us. Use haven as a resting spot or home base. Clean bathroom and a comfortable place to relax. Get here early if you want a place to park.

Friday, March 25 Dylan Sneed at the listening room, 9 p.m. Singer/songwriter Dylan Sneed will be performing original music at haven listening room. This Dylan’s third visit and he is always phenomenal. Come hear great music, interact with tremendous artists and help support local artists. $10 cover at the door.
